1, 2, 3

I was listening to Busy Phillips' podcast, Busy Phillips is Doing Her Best, earlier this week. It's not on my every-week rotation but I love her and decided to give it a shot this week as I search for fun, fluffy content as opposed to constant super heavy self-help and infidelity content. 

One of her co-hosts was talking about really struggling with the current state of the world and one of her coping strategies. Coming on the heels of yesterday's journaling technique, this framework seemed like a good practical method to share for when you're feeling like you just can't show up like you normally do. She called it "1, 2, 3" and it breaks down like this: (1) do one thing that you need to do, (2) do one thing that you want to do, and (3) do one thing for someone else. Rinse and repeat until you feel better or until you get into a flow state and you don't have to think about it so much. 

In this uncertain world and unprecedented times, it feels good to have something simple like "1, 2, 3" to follow when I feel overwhelmed.
